This shows you have initiative and are looking for ways to better yourself and your work performance. It could be there are a few simple things you can do in order to take your performance up a notch – and hopefully it can help you get a promotion sooner too!

 

Make an effort with the people you work with

 

While you don’t need to be best friends with the people you work with, you also won’t do any harm in getting to know your colleagues a little better. In fact, it’s a good idea to make an effort with them in order to help further yourself. Don’t do this in an over the top way, just take an interest in what they’ve been up to and try to be polite and kind where possible. A bit of kindness goes a long way, particularly in the business world and word will get around that will surely work in your favour.
