The personal computer arrived, and suddenly the world opened up. After school, we were either gaming or pulling machines apart to squeeze out a bit more processing power. In 1992, during my final year at high school in New Plymouth, that passion turned into a small PC business — one I sold when I moved to Auckland the following year.
