Organic Alpha: Why Clean Food Is Beating the Index

 

In the 1930s, researchers launched an experiment that has since become controversial.

The study followed 15 infants across 36,000 meals, for two full years.

Why infants? Because unlike adults, infants are not yet swayed by culture, trends, or social pressure. They eat without bias.

At each meal, the setup was the same: a table of unprocessed foods laid out before the children. No instructions. No guidance. Just careful observation of what they chose to eat and drink.

The kind of experiment that would not be allowed today in our modern safety state. How dare we let infants do what they want and not interfere?

And the results that this study found were remarkable.

They found that each child naturally balanced their diet across the foods on offer, and their instinctive mix gave them the right amount of micronutrients they needed, kept them at a healthy weight, improved their biomarkers, and in some cases, resolved pre-existing medical conditions altogether.
