Sometimes, it’s the positions you miss that cause you the most consternation.
The ones where everything stacked up. Your investing criteria were met. But, for some reason, you never got round to targeting them.
Today, the ticker is still on my trading screen. We still haven’t taken a position.
But I wistfully notice it has now climbed over 40% in value over the past year. And has paid a dividend of over 7%. This would have been ideal under the New Zealand FIF tax regime (which assumes a fair dividend rate of 5%).
We first looked at this particular company in February 2024.
